Fishing Ponds

 

The spring fed ponds at Runyan Ranches are a great place for everyone to go fishing.  Whether it is your first time to catch a fish or if you are an experienced fishermen this is the place for you.  The Runyans hold a class A license on the ponds which allows anyone to come and enjoy fishing without the hassle of getting a license.  We offer Rainbow Trout, Catfish, and Bluegill.

 

Runyan Ranches offer some of the largest Rainbow Trout in Southern New Mexico.  The trout range in size from 13 to 20+ inches.  They are raised in cool, clear water and fed some of the finest commercial feeds which in turn make them delicious.  We have a separate trophy trout pond where the 17" and over trout are found.

               Rainbow Trout   (under 17 inches)   $ .60 an inch
               Trophy Trout    (over 17 inches)       $1.25 an inch
               Pole Rental                                      $3.50 a pole

               Bait for Trout                                    No Charge

               Cleaning (Trout)                               $ .50 a fish

·  All trout caught must be kept and paid for

·  The trout are not catch and release fish

 

Bluegill and Catfish are a new edition to Runyan Ranches.  These fish are available for catch and release fishing.  If you wish to keep a certain bluegill or catfish, it can be purchased.
